Funding for 9 Power Plant Projects Approved

The fund is required for materializing the project in terms of the 10 thousand MW project.

VIVAnews - State electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) revealed that total fund that the company has acquired reaches 90.7 percent for the US dollar denomination and 98.2 percent for the rupiah denomination.

The fund is required for materializing the project in terms of the 10 thousand MW power plant project.

PLN has just signed a deal on long-term credit facilities for steam-based power plant 2 of Central Java in Adipala. The loan for the 1x660MW power plant is worth US$625 million.

Steam-based power plant of North Sumatra in Teluk Sirih values US$138 million, granted by China Development Bank. Steam-based power plant of Lampung in Tarahan and Pangkalan Susu is granted Rp 328 million, taken from the consortium of three state banks namely PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk.

"The rest of the financing is still being negotiated with domestic and Chinese banking," PLN Corporate Secretary Supriyanto said on Wednesday, Oct 14.

The deal signing causes nine main projects of electricity acceleration in Java to have full financing.
