VIVAnews - Six political parties signed a political contract with the Indonesian president- and vice president-elect Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Boediono including the Functional Group (Golkar) Party.
Former Golkar chairperson Jusuf Kalla said he respected the decision that the party took in terms of the coalition. Kalla stressed that he avoided intervening in the matter.
"That was the right of the new management. I really appreciate it," said Kalla on Friday, Oct 16.
As Mr Kalla officiated Golkar national meeting in Pekanbaru last week, he reminded that Golkar should not beg for offices in the Yudhoyono administration. Instead, they should carry out monitoring function over the government.
