VIVAnews – The national crude oil and condensate production in the past five years only increased five percent of the 2009 target, reaching 960,000 barrels per day (bpd).
Oil and gas director general Evita Herawati Legowo said that the crude oil and condensate production will hit 1.01 million barrels in 2014.
“The oil production target from 2010 until 2014 will be 965,000 in 2010, 970,000 (2011), 990,000 (2012), one million (2013), and 1.01 million bpd in 2014,” she said in Jakarta on Friday, Oct. 16.
Legowo said that besides targeting to increase the national crude oil production, the directorate general also plans to reach 21,700 bpd in 2012, 61,340 bpd in 2013, and 113,210 bpd in 2014 for coal bed methane production.
Meanwhile, the fuel production target in the 2010-2014 period is planned to reach 45.9 million kiloliter (KL). “[The production target] in 2010 and 2011 will be 39.9 million KL, while in 2013 and 2014 it will be 45.9 million KL,” she added.
Other than that, the biofuel production target in 2010-2014 will be 1,737,030 (2010), 1,991,560 (2011), 2,610,090 (2012), 3,034,070 (2013), and 4,068,940 KL in 2014.
