VIVAnews – The potential bad weather may occur in most of Indonesian territory starting on Tuesday, Oct. 20 until Thursday, Oct. 22.
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) website states that the bad weather will come with thunder and fast wind is potential happening in:
- Aceh
- Northern, central, and western of Sumatra
- Western coast of Sumatra
- Eastern coast of North Sumatra
- Western and central Java
- Northern, western, eastern, and central Kalimantan
- Northern, western, and southern of Sulawesi
- Northern and southern of Maluku
- Western and central Papua
The bad weather is caused by the centered wind area around Natuna Sea and the Pacific Ocean on the northern side of west Papua that supports the forming of nimbus cloud in Indonesian areas, mainly in western and eastern side of Indonesia, northern side of the equator.
It is important to monitor the convective activities related to the relatively high temperature in the day time, which is the local atmospheric activities and potential to trigger a heavy rain with fast wind and thunder in short period.
