VIVAnews – The state-owned telecommunication company PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) will realize the development of a super portal similar to Google and Yahoo as their strategy to develop the T.I.M.E-based business (Telecommunication, IT Services, Media, and Edutainment).

Telkom’s enterprise and wholesale director Arief Yahya explained that the super portal will make less income, but the company tends to see the high value market of the project. Meanwhile, the company will launch Internet Protocol TV for developing their media and edutainment sectors.

“We are going to establish a super portal in Indonesia, and it will become a content aggregator,” Yahya said from his office.

The business transformation will bring 6,500 companies to become the company’s customers. “This is a large figure that will boost Telkom’s income,” he added.

Previously, Telkom’s president director explained that the company is experiencing a change in the business environment, which includes competition and regulation, and a change in technology and lifestyle. Therefore, the company is determined to make a thorough and basic transformation.
