VIVAnews – Coordinating Minister for the Economy Hatta Rajasa is assigned to reform the upstream regulator agency BP Migas, which is included in the 100-day-program’s achievements.

“BP Migas reformation must be done in 100 days,” he said in Jakarta on Wednesday night, Oct. 21.

The reformation of BP Migas is also included in the performance contract, which is measured by the Key Performa Indicator. Several ministerial candidates were required to sign an integrity pact and performance contract.

BP Migas reformation is made to boost the national oil and gas production. The government also pushes the state oil and gas company Pertamina’s performance to increase the production. Meanwhile, the government also increases investment to use old fields’ production.

Rajasa also must maintain the energy reserve and divide the energy usage justly throughout the country.

“This cannot be done solely by Pertamina, which means investors’ aid is needed. Therefore, the investment climate has to be healthy with sufficient infrastructure,” he said.

Meanwhile, the people should not waste energy, despite the continuous effort from the government to make energy diversification and develop alternative energy.
